Position Overview

The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing a sales plan for assigned accounts, coordinating customer orders from order entry to fulfillment to provide exceptional customer service.

Key Objectives

• Organize, plan, develop and monitor sales to all assigned key accounts with a focus on increasing sales and profitability of existing clients, together with generating new business/customers with support from the Sales Director;
• · Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue for key accounts including programs and promotions;
• · Develop an in-depth understanding of Westbrook Greenhouses’ products and stay updated on industry trends, competitors and market conditions;
• · Maintain relationships with accounts through rapport building and regular customer contact by face to face meetings, phone calls and online communication channels;
• · Assist with coordination of customer orders including entering purchase orders as needed, responding to customer enquiries, and assisting customers to resolve issues and queries;
• · Travel as required to visit customers, attend trade shows, etc.
• · Tour greenhouses regularly to monitor and understand crop status, quality;
• · Prepare and execute proposals, power point presentations, pricing, sample orders, etc.;
• · Follow up on customer issues, credits, inquiries to resolve quickly and ensure customer satisfaction;
• · Continually strive to increase revenue and profitability of assigned accounts;
• · Participate in meetings and other activities related to role;
• · Work in compliance with company policies and procedures and Occupational Health & Safety Act;
• · Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Post secondary degree/diploma in Business or a related field;
• Minimum 2 years in sales;
• Prior experience in the floral industry an asset;
• Class G driver’s license and access to a car.

• Moderate to advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
