Marketing and Graphic Design Specialist – 12 month, full time contract

The Marketing and Graphic Design Specialist will develop multi faceted marketing strategies to drive digital campaigns and printed materials promoting Westbrook Greenhouses’ Core Four potted plant products.  In addition, there will be opportunities for this role to contribute to marketing strategies for Westbrook’s other companies. 

The ideal candidate will have experience working with print and digital marketing materials. They will use their strong skills with Adobe Creative Suite, photography and videography combined with their creative talents in graphic design and understanding of business needs and marketing trends to develop attractive promotional materials and campaigns.   Occasional travel may be necessary to attend trade shows or visit external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to: develop and execute promotional programs to increase year round sales; create and execute digital marketing/social media campaigns across multiple platforms; design and produce packaging, promotional materials, trade show collateral, etc. to create brand awareness.

Ensure brand consistency across all digital and print platforms.

Support all stages of new product development.

Plan, schedule and track project timelines/milestones to ensure timely completion.

Coordinate with external vendors for printing and publication of graphic design deliverables.

Research and analyse marketing information, including market trends, competitor offerings, product specifications, etc.

Design and produces effective presentations to support the sales team.

Qualifications and Skills

Post secondary degree/diploma in Marketing, Graphic Design or a related field;

Prior marketing experience in the floral/plant, grocery, fashion or consumer goods strongly preferred;

Excellent attention to detail;

Strong organization and project coordination skills;

Strong communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills;

High degree of proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) with excellent photo editing skills;

Proficient with MS Office software (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook);

Solid photography, videography skills;

Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools an asset.
