Located in Beamsville, Ontario, Westbrook Greenhouses Ltd., part of the Westbrook Group of Companies, is a large supplier of quality potted plants to the North American wholesale and retail mass market with over 1,000,000 square feet of combined greenhouse and warehouse space.
We are searching for a Sales Representative to develop and deliver sales plans for our potted floral programs with a focus on increasing sales through our existing wholesale accounts and generating new business for Westbrook Greenhouses. This position will provide exceptional customer service coordinating orders from order entry to fulfillment.
This position will appeal to recent graduates from a business-related field or individuals in the early stage of their sales career. The ideal candidate will be a self starter, strong relationship builder, and an excellent communicator. Strengths in project organization, collaboration, and teamwork are essential for successful order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
Occasional travel within Ontario is required for business purposes including visiting customers, and attending trade shows.
This is a hybrid position with the ability to work some days remotely and the remaining in the office every week.
Maintain, develop and monitor sales to all assigned accounts with a focus on increasing sales and profitability of existing wholesale accounts;
Generate new business/customers with support from the Vice President of Sales;
Develop an in-depth understanding of Westbrook Greenhouses’ products and stay updated on industry trends, competitors and market conditions;
Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue for accounts including programs and promotions;
Maintain relationships with accounts through rapport building and regular customer contact by face to face meetings, phone calls and online communication channels;
Coordinate customer orders including entering purchase orders, responding to customer enquiries, and assisting customers to resolve issues and queries;
Tour greenhouses regularly to monitor crop status, and quality;
Prepare and execute proposals, presentations, pricing, sample orders, etc. to generate business/sales.
Post secondary degree/diploma in Business related field or equivalent work experience;
Experience in a sales/customer service role an asset;
Prior experience in the floral industry an asset;
Class G driver’s license and access to a car.
